FINALLY!  A DECENT SKELETON! :D

Finally... my most powerful villain has arrived.

Stats

Name: Brian Zephyrstrom-Litch
Age: 88
Hair: N/A
Skin: N/A
Eyes: N/A
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 50 lbs. (30 lbs. from skeleton, 20 lbs. from brain)
Occupation: Whatever he pleases
Status: Professional Supervillain
Powers/Abilities: Incalculable telepathic power.  Class 9 telepath, one of two currently known to exist.  Powers manifest as blue energy flames in any shape he chooses.

Description

About 50 years ago, Brian Zephyrstrom-Litch pursued a criminal career, using Class 6 telepathy and the alias "Brainstorm."  Class 6 telepaths specialize more in mind control than in any other field of telepathy, so most of his crimes involved controlling others to do his dirty work.

Then came Vanguard, with his Class 7 telepathy.  While he had no mind control powers, he could overcome Brainstorm's powers easily.  However, Brainstorm always had complex mind games at hand to keep Vanguard busy (complex enough to be considered prodigious for a Class 6).  In the end, however, Vanguard eventually breaks free and saves the day, like the charming Gary Stu he was.

After decades of maintaining a challenging villain career, with barely anything to show for it (he occasionally succeeded with some heists), Brainstorm eventually grew tired of the whole supervillain business.  He retired, and shortly afterward, came down with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), which crippled his body, and he was sent to live in a senior home.  Being a Class 6 telepath, he decided to move the mental resources that would have been used to control his body to focus more on his mind powers.  This circumstance lead to a change thought impossible by the telepathic community: he moved up a class.

After achieving Class 7 telepathy, Brainstorm then had more mental resources to move up to Class 8.  After achieving Class 8 telepathy, he started diverting some resources from his organs to his brain, building parts like miniature heart-like pumps, more veins and arteries, and miniature lung-like organs, not to mention he expanded the brain itself.

On the very day he achieved Class 9 telepathy (let's take a step back... this was something groundbreaking that he did, to evolve to different classes of telepathy), he decided to bid farewell to his body.

Well... at least the outer part.

After salvaging everything he needed from his body, Brainstorm created a short burst of telekinetic energy from his body, which burst into smithereens.  With his brain mutated into a self-sustaining organism, Brainstorm decided to take only his own skeleton with him, leaving behind what remained of his body in that room.  Now calling himself the Lich, this brain in a skull realized that he been thinking too small: he had no need for any money or powerful weapons.

He could do anything he wanted, with the powers to do it.

The world is my playground.  Let's play.

Note: Shortly after retiring, Brainstorm figured he wouldn't get married, but he wanted to continue his legacy.  So, he donated sperm to a sperm bank.  Two generations and eight years later, his biological granddaughter - with an unusually high telepathic potential - would inherit one of the most powerful entities in the universe, and become a hero: Dragon.

Note: Sometime later, his bones become gray.  Somehow.

Initial inspiration: None (thought up of the concept completely on my own...)

Other inspiration: Liches (modern mythology); Charles Xavier/Professor X (Marvel)

Read all three character bios. They seem like interesting characters.
The lich had the most intersting one.

After reading about how he salvaged his body, I read this
"shortly after retiring, Brainstorm figured he wouldn't get married"
Made me chuckle.

Are these characters for an original story?
Cool drawings by the way! Keep this up!
