(F.F.T. = Food For Thought)

So at least a year ago, I heard of this screwed up challenge coughed up by some Atheists, known as the "Blasphemy Challenge".

The challenge is based off of the following Bible verse:

Mark 3:29 (New Jerusalem Bible) - ...but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin.

The challenge basically encourages youth to utter blasphemies, such as those that state that God doesn't have the power to forgive all sins.  If there isn't a heaven, then there's no harm done, but if there is, then they'll be screwed.  So it's a matter of whether or not God exists.

But the reason why it can't work is simple:

Say you're an Atheist who decides to take on this "challenge" by stating that God can't forgive all sins.  In order to deny the fact that God can't forgive all sins, you would have to acknowledge that God has the ability to forgive sin, and in order to do that, you have to acknowledge that God actually exists.  By the time you're done acknowledging all of this, you're not really an Atheist anymore... are you?

Food for thought...

Ok, that challenge makes no sense at all. Who would come up with this garbage challenge?
